Marathi Numbers : Counting upto 100

Welcome to the Maths class.Fortunately, Maharashtrian’s follow decimal number system and their numbers look more or less like English numbers.What we have to learn here is, what those numbers are called in Marathi. The following chart shows list of all Marathi numbers upto 100. If you know Hindi then your work becomes a lot easy.Look at the  chart below : See what 6 is called in Marathi ? and 10 ? and  11 ? These are the only three numbers you have to learn in first 20 numbers. Others are same what they are in Hindi but with a little twist.

Just to save my efforts , I have made the table of only important numbers. In case, if you generate curiosity to know what 976.45 is called in Marathi , please leave a comment below.

    The list of numbers given are ok but not complete. For example the words for 38 and 42 are unique to Marathi. At least such exceptions may please be listed.

    Do I understand correctly? To say 200, 300 and so on, one should add -शे to don, tin etc. don-she, tin-she, char-she, pats-she……
