जेवण झाले का ? (jevan zaale ka?)

Marathi has a verb for the process of “having lunch”
To take or have lunch = जेव-णे (jevan) and जेवण is the noun which is equivalent of lunch or dinner.
So when you ask “जेवण झाले का ?” you are literally asking ” Is your lunch over?”
Possible answers to this question are :
- हो. माझे जेवण झाले.(ho.maaze jevan zaale) =(yes, my lunch is over)
- मी जेवतो आहे.(mee jevto aahe)= (I am having my lunch)
- मी जेवलो. (mee jevlo) = (I had my lunch)
- मी तीन वाजता जेवणार (mee teen vaajta jevnaar)=(I’ll have my lunch at 3 o’clock)
